The challenge
The change in level between the house and lawn needed a practical, coherent solution that did not make the terrace feel enclosed.

Our approach
The build uses a broad paved terrace, a low masonry retaining wall and generous steps to connect the seating area with the lawn.

The finished layout provides distinct places to dine and sit while keeping an open view across the garden.
