Paving & patios in Cambridgeshire

Create a practical outdoor living area with paving selected for your home, garden and budget.

Planning the work

Paving & patios built for your garden

Good landscaping starts below the finished surface. Preparation, levels, edges and drainage are considered alongside the visible materials.

The right paving scheme starts with how the space will be used. We consider access from the house, finished levels at doors, routes through the garden, furniture space and how rainwater will move away from the surface. Material colour, texture, slip resistance and upkeep all form part of the conversation before a quotation is prepared.

We can quote against an existing brief or discuss suitable construction and material options during a free site visit. Every written quotation is based on the agreed scope for your property.

A sound construction

How we approach the build

The exact method depends on the site and agreed materials, but every project is planned from the groundwork upwards.

  1. 01

    Prepare the ground

The area is set out and excavated as required, with a suitable foundation prepared for the chosen paving and site conditions.

  2. 02

    Set levels and falls

Levels, edges and drainage are established so the paved area connects neatly with the house and surrounding garden.

  3. 03

    Lay and finish

Paving is laid to the agreed pattern, then cuts, joints, steps and edge details are completed for a coherent finish.

After the installation

Keeping the finished work at its best

Regular sweeping and prompt removal of organic debris help keep paving looking its best. Cleaning and sealing needs vary by material, so we recommend following the supplier’s guidance and avoiding harsh products that may damage the surface or joints.
